Bishop Grosseteste University is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate lecturer to work with a well-established, hardworking team on the Professional Studies programmes. Professional Studies offers work-based undergraduate and postgraduate for students who are typically working in the early years sector; in schools as school support staff; or in the youth, families and community sector. The Foundation Degree in Professional Studies is the equivalent to the first two years of a typical undergraduate degree and once completed, students can progress onto a top up, progression route and achieve a full BA (hons). As the students are working or volunteering as a requirement of the programme, they attend university for taught sessions on one day a week between 1- 8 pm. Professional Studies has recently introduced a new Masters degree to the subject.
The University is on a leafy single-campus site in the historic uphill area of the city. This is some ten minutes’ walk away from the castle and cathedral and a range of other cultural and historical attractions. BGU has been awarded a Gold TEF award for its teaching and learning. This post is offered at Grade 7 and will provide you with the opportunity to develop your career and contribute to our ongoing success.
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced academic staff member as a Lecturer in Professional Studies.
