LiNCHigher Area Engagement Officer (Maternity Cover) (Based, Boston College)

Position: Full Time, (1 FTE)

Contract: Fixed term until 1st January 2021.

LiNCHigher (Lincolnshire’s NCOP), a consortium comprising of nine Higher Education Providers, Colleges and the Local Authority in Lincolnshire, is looking to appoint a Project Officer and Area Engagement Officer to support and strengthen our work through a strategic project funded by the Office For Students (OFS).

NCOP seeks to identify and address issues around progression to higher education for young people living in areas where progression is low overall, and particularly low when GCSE attainment is taken into account. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a passionate and creative team.

Area Engagement Officer (based at Boston College)

We are looking for someone with experience of working with schools and engaging with young people and their parents.  This post will involve working with a cluster of schools to identify and deliver activities that seek to address the aspirations and expectations of young people and increase positive outcomes.

This post will initially cover schools across Lincoln, East Lindsey and South Holland, however, the post-holder may be required to travel to other parts of the county.  You will need to have strong networking and relationship-building skills, organisation and planning skills. You must have passion for the project in order that LiNCHigher achieves its milestones and goals to ensure the continued success of outreach work in Lincolnshire.

This role is countywide and community focused, the post-holder will be required to travel. There also is the expectation that occasionally you would be required to work outside of ‘normal’ working hours, have overnight stays and also weekend work to attend events such as parent’s evenings, conferences and meetings etc.

Interviews will be held on Monday 20th January 2020.
