This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the enthusiastic and successful TESOL team, specifically to support and lead the teaching of Linguistics and/or TESOL. We are seeking an excellent teacher, with experience of teaching in the field of Linguistics and/or TESOL and of working in the HE sector. Ideally the successful candidate will have expertise in an area of Linguistics, or more specifically Psycholinguistics, such as first language acquisition.

In September 2018 the School of Teacher Development is launching its latest flagship course, the BA in TESOL with Linguistics, to supplement our highly successful MA in Education with TESOL. Both the BA & MA are progressive and practical courses, which draw upon our outstanding heritage of training teachers for over 150 years. The courses promote the integration of theory with practice, and team members include both researchers of national and international standing and experienced classroom practitioners (see MA course specific information).

Building upon an outstanding institutional heritage in the field of education, the School of Teacher Development is currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth. Our most recent OFSTED inspection (2015) highlighted a “vision of excellence” and “training of the highest quality”. We also achieved a 4* rating in Education in the 2014 REF, a TEF Gold rating and we consistently secure sector leading employability and student satisfaction scores. Our academics are engaging in educational research and consultancy around the world, and we offer a friendly and supportive learning community on our attractive campus in historic Lincoln.
