Part time (18.5hpw), permanent, all year round.

Bishop Grosseteste University is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed professionally-qualified librarian to fill a brand new part-time role within our small, friendly team (exact working pattern to be negotiated with the successful applicant).  

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the Library’s academic liaison work including acting as a subject librarian, creating and editing reading lists using the University’s online reading list system, answering enquiries, providing 1-to-1 (and occasional group) training, compiling book orders and cataloguing & classifying stock.

Interviews for this post will include a 10 minute presentation, the purpose of which is to assess candidates’ communication and ICT skills.  Candidates are expected to present on the following topic ‘Describe a successful academic liaison programme within a university library: what does it look like, how is it run, and what does it achieve?’.
