An exciting opportunity has come up to join our People & Organisational Development department. We have an excellent opportunity for someone to take on the brand new role of Senior People & OD Business Partner leading business partnering support across the University.

You should have substantial experience of working in a HR environment, where you have provided solutions and orientated advice and support. You should have experience in working with senior managers to develop solutions to strategic business challenges. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to cope with and influence change and you should have an in-depth knowledge of employment law. 

We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to provide integrated strategic and operational business partnering services to our professional services and academic staff. The successful candidate will lead on key strategic change initiatives and bring the People and OD Strategy to life with the support of a professional team.

The post holder will exercise operational oversight of the People and OD Function and deputise for the Director of People and OD across the University and wider. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of People strategies, organisational development, learning and development, staff development strategies and performance management systems. They will lead a dynamic and growing team and report directly to the Director of People & OD.

The suitable candidate will be a Chartered member of the CIPD. You will have a strong proven track record creating strong trusted relationships in order to gain support and reach strategic business goals. You will have a strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail.
