Closing Date:   Sunday 26 January 2025

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we've grown, adapted, and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We're still experts in teaching and education, but we've now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We currently offer courses in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between.

We are seeking a dynamic HR Learning and Organisational Development Partner to develop and implement a strategically aligned service for learning, performance, and organisational development initiatives at the University. This role is crucial in ensuring that employees are developed and supported to enhance both individual and team performance, thereby contributing to the achievement of the University’s strategic objectives. You will work closely, collegially, and flexibly with University leaders, managers, and HR team members to achieve excellence in people management and development.

To be successful in this role, you should have a first degree or equivalent experience, along with proven experience as a learning and development professional or in a similar capacity.

If you are passionate about fostering a strong learning culture and driving organisational development, we encourage you to apply.

BGU offers a generous employee benefits package including:

  • 25 days holiday for Grades 1-6
  • Plus 3 additional discretionary days annual leave over the Christmas period
  • Various pension scheme options including a Teachers Pension scheme offering up to 23.68% Employer Contribution, and BG Flex (a private pension scheme managed by Aviva) offering a 10% employer contribution and the employee contributions are voluntary and flexible.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Electric Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme including free online GP services and face to face counselling sessions
  • Agile Working Scheme to support employees work-life balance
