An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and flexible PA to join the University as a member of the Vice-Chancellors Office on a fixed term basis (maternity cover). You will proactively work as part of a team to provide a highly professional, effective and efficient administrative, secretarial and operational support to the Vice-Chancellor.

The successful candidate will be qualified to A-level or equivalent. With experience of working in a fast-paced, demanding office environment you will be systematic and thorough with meticulous attention to detail. You must be highly organised and have the ability to effectively manage your workload. You will be required to work to tight deadlines, rapidly changing priorities and produce accurate and high quality written work.

An effective communicator, you will be confident dealing with a diverse range of people in a professional and personable manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times. You will be the first point of contact for the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, so tact, discretion and a positive attitude are therefore essential.

You will be reliable, adaptable, resilient, able to hit the ground running and committed to delivering high-level confidential support.

This is a fixed term appointment to cover a period of maternity leave (up to one year or until the post holder returns).
