Bishop Grosseteste University is a TEF Gold rated small, specialist, university located in the picturesque city of Lincoln. We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic colleague with expertise in Psychology to work with us on the Education Studies Programme. This temporary part time Visiting Tutor role is specifically required for work on a Level 4 (first year undergraduate) module. The contract will be for up to 45 hours in Semester 1 2019/20 to be negotiated with the Programme Leader to include teaching, marking and tutorial support. For this role, you must be available to work on Tuesday afternoons from September to December 2019 and available to liaise with the module leader and Programme leader before the commencement of Semester 1 2019-20.

Applicants will need to have a good first degree qualification in Psychology and ideally an interest in brain development, theories of intelligence, personality and IQ. Experience of teaching at any level is an advantage and preferably, although not essential, previous experience of teaching in higher education. Applications from those with a relevant Masters degree or in the process of completing a Doctorate are particularly welcomed.

Any appointment made will be at our current Visiting Tutor teaching rate (£43.01 per hour) or at a non-contact rate for marking (£21.50 per hour), subject to annual review. The contract commits staff to a range of professional criteria and responsibilities, including work which the University may require as the need arises.
